Attorney Enrique Chavez, Jr.

Enrique Chavez, Jr., principal and founder of the Chavez Law Firm, was born and raised in El Paso. Upon graduating from Bel Air High School, Enrique went to college on scholarship at Yale University and graduated from Yale with a degree in Philosophy. After acquiring an Ivy League education, Enrique then came back home to El Paso, working at the University of Texas at El Paso and the American Heart Association as an educator and fundraiser before heading off to law school at the University of Texas School of Law in Austin. While in law school, Enrique earned induction into the prestigious National Order of Barristers, for excellence in trial advocacy. Upon graduating from the University of Texas School of Law, Enrique worked for an insurance and labor and employment defense firm.

In 2001, Enrique Chavez, Jr. took what he had learned and began his own law practice representing real human beings, spouses, parents, children, employees, consumers and patients against insurance companies, employers and those others who break our nation's laws and violate community safety rules. Enrique was now on your side, representing people like you, and your loved ones For more than a decade, Enrique has quietly garnered millions of dollars in jury verdicts, and millions of dollars in judgments before courts of law and millions of dollars more in settlements, before trial, to the benefit of thousands of El Pasoans whom had been harmed due to the irresponsibility and negligence of others. He and the Chavez Law Firm believe that our community is made safer by holding accountable those corporations and individuals who break the law and the community safety rules which protect us all.

Enrique is very proud of the work he and the Chavez Law Firm have done to make our communities safer. Enrique is licensed to practice law in Texas and New Mexico.

Enrique is a father of two, and has been an avid martial artist for 24 years. Through the State Bar of Texas, he teaches other lawyers and professionals around Texas on varied topics from trial skills and jury persuasion, ethics, medical leave and employment discrimination. He is the past Chair of the Labor & Employment Law Section, 2011-2012, of the State Bar of Texas, a member of the American Bar Association, the American Board of Trial Advocates, the National Employment Lawyers Association, the Texas Trial Lawyers Association, the Texas Employment Lawyers Association and he is a Texas Bar Foundation, Life Fellow. Enrique practices personal injury law, employment law, civil rights law, community safety law, and law of contracts.
